Sight Unseen Presents ANTHOM

In May of 2017, Sight Unseen launched a new project called Sight Unseen Presents — a curated event series meant to increase the visibility of New York Design Week by activating a dozen retail spaces and restaurants around the city with design content and programming. Sight Unseen created its second-ever print magazine to document and promote the series, available for free at participating venues: Coming Soon, Rachel Comey, The Primary Essentials, Paintbox, Picture Room, Canal Street Market, Dimes, Lalito, Kasthall, Mission Chinese, Creatures of Comfort, and ANTHOM.

This event marks the first of several upcoming collaborations between furniture designer Justin Donnelly, NYCxDESIGN 2016 Emerging Talent Honoree, and creative director Monling Lee, Fashion Group International 2016 Rising Star Winner in New Media.  Building on Justin and Monling’s background as architects, "Architecture Parlant,” is a site-specific installation consisting of a field of sculptural lighting and display elements. Together, this limited-time intervention transforms the historic retail storefront at 25 Mercer Street into a changing landscape of color and figure.
